Seems like the Greenpoint food scene is featured every week in the bigger news outlets. This week, Greenpoint’s newbie, Lake Street was included in a Daily News article about the surge of Midwestern-inspired restaurants.
Greenpoint’s Paulie Gee’s was also included in a new list of affordable yet awesome restaurants that the gastro-meter powerhouse Michelin has compiled for their new Bib Gourmand category. (Brokelyn)
We all know how annoying the New York Times can be when attempting to accurately cover Brooklyn neighborhoods, so I guess we shouldn’t be too surprised when GQ magazine hires a famed food writer to sarcastically compare Greenpoint to Portland, Oregon. The Greenpoint Medical Center that was slated to open last Summer, finally opened this week.. in Williamsburg. I read a lot of headlines this week about it opening in Greenpoint. Station 35 will be serving our community also.
