There have been rumblings that Brooklyn Standard, the vegan and organic friendly bodega on Nassau Avenue, would be opening a new location somewhere in Brooklyn and today we found out it’s in East Williamsburg! Brooklyn Standard opened it’s first location in Greenpoint a few years ago in hopes of becoming the new bodega – a bodega that offers Stumptown coffee, organic egg sandwiches, kombucha, juices, smoothies, homemade apple cider vinegar beverages, and a bakery case full of vegan-friendly desserts. Their menu’s most ordered sandwiches include the Vegan Jerk Seitan, Turkey Avocado, BBQ Tofu, and the Killer. The equality of vegan and non-vegan food options make Brooklyn Standard a delicious compromise among friends, family, and coworkers of the neighborhood.

Greenpoint’s little ‘new bodega’ has now branched off into a new location at 766 Grand Street. The new location offers a lot of new things such as espresso drinks, indoor/outdoor seating, wifi, salad bar, and a longer menu. Brooklyn Standard’s delivery range will also broaden to serve even more neighborhoods than before such as Bushwick, Bed-Stuy, Long Island City, etc. The owners of the shops are hoping that East Williamsburg will welcome them into their neighborhood the way that Greenpoint has.

Brooklyn Standard at Grand Street is currently celebrating their first week of opening. Come check it out if you’re in the neighborhood!
