by Justine This years Greenpoint Veterans Memorial Parade is set for Sunday May 29th. The parade is a time honored tradition of the neighborhood and I think one of the only times you get to hear bagpipes going down Manhattan Avenue.
The ‘Greenpoint Veterans Memorial Parade Committee’ is composed primarily of members of local Greenpoint groups including Lexington Council #293 of the Knights of Columbus, St. Stanislaus Memorial Post #1771, American Legion, and The Slovak Citizens Club.
