Holy crap.
I just got a tip from my friend Michelle that an actual real, first run movie theater was coming to town in 2011. Brooklyn Paper reports:
Developer Blue Zees Real Estate is planning a $9.3-million moviehouse on a vacant lot at the corner Driggs Avenue and Grand Street with six screens and 850 stadium seats.
The three-story theater will show first-run feature films, and should be completed by next fall.
While we’ve all been waiting YEARS for a real movie theater, I wonder what the reaction will be…
