I’m a HUGE Bruce Springsteen fan so when Rob Maher of the Dog Habitat / Unleash / District Dog Greenpoint conglomerate sent me a Facebook invite titled Born to Run… well needless to say I’m posting it immediately!
It also helps that Aponte is ADORABLE and I’m so glad after years of shelter life he finally got an owner who spoils him with park trips almost daily. 🙂
A Festive Celebration and Fundraiser to pay for Aponte’s Knee Surgery
Aponte is an older shelter dog, locked up for half his life! Bouncing from shelters in Georgia, PA, upstate NY and finally Brooklyn. Aponte finally found himself a foster home just a few months ago. And he’s been loving his life, happily playing in the dog run and frolicking in the park.
Aponte’s comfort was shortlived though. A severe limp turned out to be a long-damaged knee injury requiring surgery. This benefit will pay for that surgery and allow Aponte to get back to the life of leisure he deserves.
