Rumor has it River Barrel is changing names and has already changed their cuisine to a Korean spin.

River Barrel in Greenpoint is totally different (and AMAZING) now (Korean)…think it’s re-naming soon

“totally different menu, totally different kitchen and chef. we went there last week and were highly impressed with the food we got: Korean fried chicken, “Korean hot dog” (housemade lemongrass pork sausage with housemade kimchee and hot sauce on a roll), great Brussels sprouts with denjang, boquerones and wasabi greens crostini…

I live a few blocks away and am excited to see what happens when it re-opens with a new name/look (soon, I hear). for now, they ARE running the new menu, and it’s delicious.”

  1. Bring back the Cobb salad.

    The bad thing about using kimchee is it pretty much makes everything taste like kimchee…

    The bar is still good, but I think this food move is a strike-out.
