It’s a snowy start to a Valentine’s Day three day weekend. With all that said, if you venture out of your bed, there’s a lot to do this weekend in the ‘point.

The Kumquat Cupcakery & Liddabit Sweets pop-up shop at Kill Devil Hill starts tomorrow and runs through Sunday! I thought it was supposed to start today, but the skint says tomorrow starting from 10am-7pm. Mmmmmm can’t wait!

Get some Pre Valentine’s Pampering at The Beehive Salon at Downtime Spa located on North 7th Street and Vertuccio’s Pizza on the Park. This Thursday from 6-10pm they’re hosting an event. When you book any service receive a free manicure and chair massage to get you ready for that special night. Also enjoy complimentary wine and appetizers provided by the newly opened Vertuccio’s Pizza on the Park. Gift bags will be provided for the first 30 guests! Book NOW at 718-782-8376

Thursday night might be your last shot to find a Valentine. Try your luck at Black Rabbit‘s Smiths Speed Dating hosted by Dave Hill. It’s free!

Friday begins the weekend long 2010 Love Crawl. Running through Sunday the 14th, featuring Dandelion Wine, fred flare and EAT.

Ooo-la-la! Props to my girl Joann who puts her heart and soul into organizing these things! Saturday is the Greenpoint Food Market – A Food Affair aka the Valentine Edition! Featuring a plethora of sweet treats and even a kissing booth with photos taken by the amazingly talented Katie Sokoler of Color Me Katie.

Saturday is the anticipated Best Wings in Brooklyn competition happening right here in little ol’ Greenpoint at local favorite, Red Star.

Also on Saturday is the annual Mardi Gras Ball at Church of the Ascension. A perfect place to further celebrate the Saints winning the Superbowl!

On Sunday, Valentine’s Day proper, the family friendly Be Mine! Valentine Dance Party is going on at the Williamsburg Movement & Arts Center.

Finally, a tip from reader Lori – on Monday there’s a blood drive being hosted at the Greenpoint YMCA from 4-10pm.

  1. Justine, do you know what is going on with Kill Devil Hill? I saw an art show (through the window, it was closed) this weekend of photographs having to do with chefs. Is that still up? Are they out of business?
