This morning everyone has been talking about and worrying a rapist on the loose in Greenpoint. And like the residents in this video say, this shit doesn’t happen here. This guy better hope the cops find him before some local Greenpoint hoods do…

GREENPOINT (WPIX) – The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in the search for a man who raped a woman in Brooklyn early Tuesday morning.

Police say at about 4:30 a.m. a man pushed a 25-year-old woman into a building vestibule near the corner of Diamond Street and Nassau Avenue in Greenpoint, where he sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 20’s, about 5’8″ to 5’9″ tall and weighing approximately 185 lbs.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website (www.NYPDCrimeStoppers.com) or by texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then entering TIP577.

  1. Thank you for posting. I live on that very corner and found out about it through your blog. I have contacted the police about whether or not it was inside my building. We don't have a proper outer door and I think that was where the crime occured. Very shocking: girls – buy some mace. I just got a keychain one that is very discreet.
