I got an email from the owners of Greenpoint Vintage yesterday. You know how much I love vintage ever since I was in the 7th grade rocking my grandpa’s old suit jackets with my ripped jeans and Docs.

Greenpoint Vintage is a just-started reclaimed and restored vintage furniture outfit run by Connie Smith and Dom Williams. Dom is a trained furniture maker, working on his own-design projects as well as refinishing and restoring vintage pieces. They’re also selling on Craigslist and are about to start at the Brooklyn Flea. But first up they’re having an opening sale this weekend Aug 1st & 2nd from 10am til 6pm at 15 Monitor Street (the old St. Cecilia’s school).

I seriously wonder if my ass sat on this at some point twenty some odd years ago:

  1. I went by there the other day and got four of those blue and chrome chairs. They're great around my new dining table:

FYI they say they were manufactured in '01 on the bottom. Not exactly vintage, but for the price, they're in great shape, and exactly what I was looking for. Dominic seemed really friendly, too, I'll definitely swing by the sale this weekend.

  2. Thank you for posting about this. I've visited the sale both this weekend and last. Great stuff for reasonable prices.
