I’ve been wondering what’s going to go down in this space on the Ave and Refinery29 has the scoop. A new bar from the people who own Oak.

Last week we caught up with Louis Terline and Jeff Madalena, the two guys behind refinery fave, Oak. A pretty fruitful convo, actually, as we got the inside scoop on some pretty exciting news. The duo told us they’re planning on opening up a bar in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, in the former Staropolski Meat Market & Deli space. As for the rest of the details, we have very little (so far, we’ll be sure to keep you posted though)… something about plans for a very raw, simple space, set to open sometime this spring.

  1. Question is what is going into the renovated building next to it? It was an old bar which I never had the chance to visit.

  2. I feel like *that* is the place that this bar is going to be… I think the Polish store is still open. But who knows.

  3. I do too. Records show the bar was sold 10/3/08 for $1.6M. The Polish Store was not sold recently. I think it is this place 916 and not the deli.
