MOVIEHOUSE, December 14th, 7 pm door, 8 pm film
On December 14th Moviehouse reveals what happens when you mix
creativity, social experimentation and a video camera. This month’s free
film-screening follows the theme of “Urban Video Art”. John Bonafede poses as a
homeless subway performer who takes donations of saliva instead of cash. CK
Swett, Victor Jeffreys II, and Russel Fong combat (and comment on) exploitation
by trading their subject a train ticket & a new suit for a chance to follow
him around and Manuela Viera-Gallo applies acid to Chilean dictator Augusto
Pinochet. Moviehouse brings the very best in local filmmaking to 3rd Ward every
2nd Sunday. The evening begins with drinks, snacks and beats from VJ Clay
Franklin and ends in a lively discussion with the filmmakers.
