When I lived in Seattle, one of my favorite events was the Slideluck Potshow: an evening of tasty homemade dishes and awesome artwork. While the venue continuously moved, the idea was always the same – those in attendance would sample each other’s recipes while watching a slide show of participant’s artwork. Originating in Seattle, Slideluck has gone global, with future Potshows scheduled in Mexico City and Caracas. This is a great event for foodies and artists alike and its coming to McCarren pool on August 2nd!
I’m mentioning this now because today is the last day to submit work for the slide show (and because I am super psyched!!!!).
