TEDx talks are coming to Brooklyn! On December 2nd, 2011, TEDx will be having a speaker series at Brooklyn Bowl. Greenpointers is very exited about this! Tickets go on sale at 1pm today. They are very limited and a little pricey at $100, but well worth that warm and fuzzy feeling you will get listening to amazing and inspiring innovators. If you can’t get tickets they will be live streaming the talks at various locations in Brooklyn, and as always they will be online.
The topic of the talks is Redefining Better: “We’re living in what is commonly referred to as the ‘Information Age.’ With the emergence of social networks, we build new communities by pressing the “Like” and “+1″ buttons and becoming fans. As we become increasingly interconnected with the Brooklyn community in these new ways, we find ourselves grasping for a new common ethos. In other words, we are striving to refine and define ‘better.'”
Ted is also looking for Brooklyn filmmakers to submit 1minute long promotional videos as well as photos of Brooklyn! To submit email: [email protected]
