Attend the first FREE Greenpoint Mommy Class at Flying Squirrel!
Being a new Mom or Dad is super exciting, but, let’s be honest… it’s also very scary. Suddenly you are faced with providing for a little person that you love – whom you want to give safety, comfort and happiness – but maybe you’re not be sure exactly how!?
That’s why Flying Squirrel is supplementing their excellent customer service and high quality children’s goods with a new addition – Greenpoint Mommy Classes!

These FREE classes at Flying Squirrel begin this Thursday, July 24th at 10:30 am. This first class will feature two postpartum doulas who will instruct you in the basics of swaddling, an ancient blanket wrapping practice known to calm, soothe and restrict your baby’s movements during sleep, helping to keep them safe in their cradle. As a bonus, attendees will recieve 30% off Aden & Anais swaddles to take home, a top selling product at Flying Squirrel. It’s also a great opportunity to meet other new parents in the neighborhood; because, after all, the best place to learn is in a supportive community!

Featured Vendor: Classic Baby Tux

You’re going to get a real kick out of our Holiday Market featured vendor The Classic Baby Tux. I mean what else are you going to put your infant in at the next wedding or formal event?

In 1981 Kathy Sharon, a new Mom, fashion illustrator and dabbling clothing designer, created a one piece, cotton knit Baby Tuxedo with classic undertails for infants to wear to formal events.

The Classic Baby Tux was a huge success, reviewed in the Wall Street Journal, NYT, Money Magazine and worn by Prince William – for real!

Now, in 2013, The Classic Baby Tux remains amusing and comfy for baby, still classic!
