Janis Vogel lives in Greenpoint. A photographer and (motion picture) editor, she makes television to pay the rent. She loves to explore the neighborhood and is thus actively ambivalent about the G being down or the L for that matter. The pier is close enough to Manhattan for her. She was born in Heidelberg, Germany and raised on Martha's Vineyard where she pined for the city she now calls home.
