So, the G train wasn’t running this weekend. It’s not running for the next three weekends.
Normally, this would be no big deal. I can most certainly find loads of things to fill a weekend right here in my own little corner of the borough. From window shopping on Franklin Street to brunch on Manhattan Ave to spending time at a friend’s apartment – there is a ton to do in Greenpoint.
However, Sunday morning…

The B61 goes to Carroll Gardens, maybe you could hopstop a new route?…Also, I waited 45 minutes for a car service on Sunday. yucky.
On a positive note, at least this means they are doing some work on the G train. I have heard from others who live off of trainlines that have been repaired that after the repair was all over the train ran faster and more efficiently.
