A 73-year-old man from Bayside, Teddy Orzechowski, died today from injuries sustained almost three weeks ago after he was struck by an SUV while riding an e-bike, multiple outlets report.
In response, the community is gathering to speak out against safety conditions at the intersection of Monitor and Driggs, where the fatality took place.
The speak out starts at 1 p.m.
E bikes of any kind are a threat to others and to themselves especially seniors.
Most seniors are petrified of them as they routinely skirt the traffic rules and get away with it.
Regulate them more, make any type get a license and enforce the rules.
