Her ongoing portrait series “Franklin St Regulars” celebrates key contributors to Greenpoint’s current Franklin St renaissance.
Part One showcases Mary Brockman of Kill Devil Hill (170 Franklin St) & Stephanie Anderson of WORD (126 Franklin St).
The photographs, on display at Kill Devil Hill’s backroom salon from 26 October – 17 November 2010, depict sets and costumes hand-built from paper for a flattening effect that’s the inverse of trompe l’oeil.
The promotional images are teasers & will not appear in the actual show. The final product can be seen only at Kill Devil Hill. A portion of each paper set will be available at the opening for attendee photo ops.
