Mary McG emailed me to remind me about the upcoming Greenpoint 100 this Saturday, something everyone should have on their to-do list!
Justine,
Thanks again for posting our call for artists last month for the Greenpoint 100 art exhibition and auction on May 1st. We’ve received many pieces so far, but we’d love to get more. And more importantly, we want to make sure the community will come out to support the library and see these works (and maybe even take some home with them).
Greenpoint 100 Art Exhibition and Auction
Come out to support your library and take home one-of-a-kind artwork! Friends of Greenpoint Library invite you to this art exhibition and silent auction. All artwork has been donated by local artists.
Saturday May 1, 2010
11:00 AM – 2:30 PM
(winning bidders must be present at 3:00 PM to purchase artwork)
Greenpoint Public Library
107 Norman Ave
Brooklyn, NY 11222
The exhibition will be juried by Marshall Weber of Booklyn and cash prizes will be awarded. If local artists are interested in participating in the show, they should email [email protected] for more details.
Thanks! I hope that some of the Greenpointers staff will be able to make it to the show, as well. Make sure you say hello to the Friends of the Greenpoint Library while you’re there!
Best regards,
Mary
This looks great! I will definitely stop by to see the art.
