Red Star is hosting its first ever Spring Music Festival. The all day event is set to kick-off at 3pm on Saturday April 24, 2010, and will feature 7 bands from Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Manhattan ranging from funk to indie rock.

The Telephones and The Binary Marketing Show will headline the music festival with opening acts from Thinning the Hear, Yellow Hash, Harris Trucks, and a fresh new band, Attic Ends. But before it all begins, veteran and Brooklyn-based musician Ray Gehring will perform with his new band Commonwealth.

But the fun doesn’t stop with Brooklyn’s rock and roll scene, after all this is a music festival! New York’s premier DJ’s of British Dub Step, Hellfire Machina and Code of Arms will take over the night with their special guest DJ’s Claw, the Widdler, Enoe, and Katie Rush to keep the energy up and the crowd pleased all night.

Red Star’s first ever spring music festival promises to be one to remember, packed with live music, high energy, and the best bartenders in Brooklyn serving you as you enjoy a kick-off to the New York summer music scene.
