Van Leeuwen’s Coming to Greenpoint!

I got the following anonymous comment today:

There’s a rumor going around that the Van Leeuwens are opening a ice cream and coffee shop with pastries. I hope this is true!! Apparently it will be in the space to the right of the Manhattan Inn bar! 2010 summer in Greenpoint is going to rock if this is true!

I agree – it would rock if this was true and…. IT IS! I shot Pete Leeuwen an email and he confirmed that it is indeed true and their expecting to open sometime in February. Wheeeeeeeee!!!

Yeah, We’re really excited to finally open up a shop and equally as excited that it’s just a few short blocks from both Ben and Laura’s and my house! I’ll be seein you soon! We’re doing Intelligentsia Coffee/Espresso and our own pastries…and obviously lots and lots and lots of ice cream!
