This week’s Weekend Blend is all about Halloween! Most of these items are re-posted from my Halloween in the Hood post last week but I’ve been adding to it as things come in and I’m going to keep this post on top from now until Sunday.

Got any tips for Halloween night events going on in the hood? Email me at greenpointers [at] gmail [dot] com. I’ll be adding to this post as things come in!

Kick off the Halloween weekend on Thursday at Brouwerij Lane’s Pumpkin Harvest Party from 6pm-10pm with harvest beers and pumpkin beers on tap.

There is so much to do on Saturday that maybe you need a dress rehearsal on Friday night? If so t.b.d. is hosting one! Facebook event here.

Are you torn between TWO costumes this halloween? Are you so in love with your Zombie get up that you simply can’t imagine wearing it just the one evening? Do you want a trial run to make sure that you get everything JUST RIGHT?

Well. Have we got the solution for you. Come to t.b.d. Friday evening for a-very-nearly-impromptu Halloween warm up. We will have spooky music, apple bobbing, random Halloween-themed games, and, you guessed it, drink specials.

Come on. You know you want to. If only to see Lance make some mistakes.

Friday night is also host to the Tricko Treat Party at the Warsaw. A free party with 2 live bands and a DJ. $2 shots until 10pm, $3 beers and $4 mixed drinks all night. Facebook event here.

District Dog is having their third annual doggie Halloween parade at Winthrop Park (McGolrick). Even if you don’t have a puppy of your own this is poised for a cute overload moment for sure.

The 3rd Annual Halloween Parade is set to be an event to remember. Lucky for us this year it will be held on Saturday, October 31st at 1pm in McGolrick Park.

This years theme is “Dress Your Name” so be ready for some great costumes inspired by dog names.

The Habitat always does an amazing job of decorating for the holidays and their events. And I’m sure this year Nicole and the gang will outdo themselves with the Halloween Freak Show. A costume contest with a $100 cash prize, beer and shot specials and the mayhem starts at sundown. A must hit if you’re planning on being the hood. Facebook event here.

Connie O’s is having their own Halloween party with open bar options, spooky shot specials and $100 prize for best costume! And as a bonus, the fabulous Samantha is bartending. Facebook event here.

The Richardson is having their own little Halloween event in that classic style that’s all their own.

DEVILS, DECADENCE & all things GHASTLY at THE RICHARDSON this Saturday night – HALLOWEEN!

You don’t need a ‘ticket to play’ and, as always, you are welcome to ‘come as you are’…but it IS Halloween so you may feel out of place without grisly getup! We’ll be celebrating in fiendish delight this night!

Also, back by popular demand, in addition to our regular rotation of 1950’s R&B and Rock-n-Roll, we will showcase a one-night-only addition of HALLOWEEN HITS, such as MONSTER MASH, WEREWOLF WATUSI &, of course, ASTRO ZOMBIES! So get ready to dance, howl or crow to your gruesome little black heart is content.

Don’t miss out on your last chance to party on a Halloween Saturday for five years – your next chance won’t be till 2014! Got that day-timers?

We look forward to seeing you and your friends, outfitted in your garments of gloom (glee is okay too)!

Ok and last, but certainly not least is The Greatest Halloween Party Ever. Yes, we said EVER!

This year our theme is the ‘Annihilation of Oz’. Seeing how this year is the 70th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz, we thought it would be appropriate. Also, being that we want to keep growing the party bigger and bigger, we moved it to The Warsaw – 261 Driggs Ave at Eckford.

We have been going all out on this one. In our mad back offices at 94 Productions we are making:

Dorothy’s Demolished Bedroom
A giant Fighting Tree See Saw (hopefully he will be nicer to us than he was to Toto)
A Life Size Tornado
And, back again, The one and Only Ball Pit ( this year its a little different- think POPPIES)

We are also excited about the top notch talent we got in on it with us this year:
DRAGONS OF ZYNTH
TOYS IN TROUBLE
THE VANDELLES

our DJ lineup includes local faves:
SMUT VILLIAN
QUESO STACKS
and HOORAY!

A few deals that we are offering to even further entice:

FREE BEER from 8-9
FREE PEROGIES from 8-10
Best & Worst Costume Prizes

You know what..just take a look at this….
