Yes, it’s been awhile but I think we’re all kind of in the mode of summer laziness. Likely won’t be much posts here until after Labor Day, but this cute little story is something I just had to post. How cute is that little baby falcon?!
Man Saves Baby Falcon From Being Bullied, Squashed – Daily Intel
Update: From commenter colormekatie – Just so you know, there’s another baby falcon in our neighborhood ( by driggs and humboldt) I saw it this morning being attacked by pigeons also! I was able to get the pigeons away but the falcon was so scared it hid in some bushes. Keep on the look out!
OMG – someone go save the other baby!

FYI about animal control, I found a bunny rabbit hopping on the other side of “American playground” one night. I called 311 and was transferred to animal control. I told them about the bunny and my concern that this was not a wild animal and it might be hurt. They told me they do not come to pick up animals after 7pm. She suggested that I go get the bunny and someone would be able to come get it in the morning. I told her this wasn’t possible as I have a cat, which not only isn’t very friendly to other animals, but I wouldn’t want to put his health in any danger since I would be removing an animal off the street. They said there was nothing they could do, I also tried calling the ASPCA which told me they only handle cases of abuse, I called BARC which was closed. I didn’t know what else to do…
Was the rabbit all white? I've seen it over there but it was well over a year ago, maybe almost 2. It was around 4am and I was getting back from a night out. I couldn't get it because it disappeared into that lot behind American Playground that is locked up. It would be funny if it were somehow feral and living on the streets of Greenpoint just fine.
Ha, it was all white, with Pink eyes…
He looked so clean I find it hard to believe it was the same bunny, but you never know.
