When I got this in my email I tried to think if I knew even one Jewish person in Greenpoint growing up. I couldn’t think of one. The majority of people I knew were Irish, Italian, Puerto Rican and Polish. Heck, I didn’t even know there was a synagogue on Noble St. But apparently there is and they’re having a Hanukkah celebration on December 21st, so from this shiksa – mark your calendar and enjoy your holiday!
