Lots of foodie news this week in the nabe. Yum, yum.
First up, Cafecito Bogota is now offering a recession special – $5 sandwiches! They’ve got Ham & Brie or Turkey Mustard on a baguette or Chicken & Bacon on a Focaccia all on Balthazar Bakery Breads. They’ve also reduced prices on their brunch and introduced a nightly $5 tapas menu. So now you’ve got no reason to dub down your dining out options just cause the stock market is in the toilet.
Then as a reminder, this Sunday is Enid’s 6th Annual Apple Pie Bake-Off. I really wanted to enter this cause I actually bake a pretty mean apple pie. No really, I do. But I don’t think I’m going to have time and oh, I still have not lit the pilot light in my oven since I’ve moved here. A year and a half ago.
The Richardson is now offering food! It’s a small menu for now but they promise it’s enough to accompany your beer, wine & cocktails. They’ve also got new hours. Open daily from Noon to 4am and serving food from 1pm – 1am (at least), EVERY DAY of the week!
And finally, Tom over at Critical Reviews gave me the heads up that Ashbox Cafe now has a blog where they post their daily specials.
Thanks for the good info. This might have been covered here before, but, umm, when did Ashbox become a Japanese restaurant / tea house? Is this the third set of owners?
