Last week Krissy posted that she spied a new shop on Meserole – Old Hollywood. Immediately the name suggested wonderful-ness!
Today Brooklyn Based has a sweet in store peek at the place that is owned by the buyer for Catbird. This shop promises to be vintage and independent designers inspired by vintage. And all “within the 1950s Hollywood aesthetic (think classy, pinup-style bathing costumes and feather headpieces)”. Designers include:
Digby&Iona
Species by the Thousands
Harlow in Chains
VeraMeat
Withering Elm
It’s totally common knowledge that I am a vintage lover and seller for ten years. I’m even a founding member of the Vintage Fashion Guild, which is the end all be all resource for the serious vintie folks out there. This shop is literally what my dream has always been to have myself, but since I couldn’t do it, I’m stoked that someone did!

I must admit, being a lover of 40’s and 50’s culture, the sign alone got me excited. I will stop by there tonight!!
