Brian Berger of Who Walk In Brooklyn and editor of New York Calling came a’ calling me a couple of months ago to give me the honor of being his first Blog of the Month.
I’ve never really been interviewed before, but it was kind of fun talking and reminiscing with Brian about the neighborhood I grew up in and how it’s changed. I also was able to get a copy of New York Calling which I haven’t delved into reading yet as I’m saving it for my next Amtrak visit up to Albany next month.
If you can’t get enough of me, stop by WWIB to read Greenpointers: Pride of the Eastern District.
Did I read that correctly: You grew up on Humboldt around Rite Beer? That’s my childhood block too!
I grew up on Humboldt between Nassau & Driggs from about 80-91. My grandfather lived on Humboldt btwn Nassau & Norman until we bought the house on the next block.
