Everyone right now get up and go to Peter Pan.
Peter Pan is a Greenpoint institution! When I go anywhere out of town, or in town for that matter, to visit I always bring a dozen of Peter Pan’s donuts. Going to a friends for dinner? Bring a dozen. Going to a BBQ? Bring a dozen. Somebody died? Bring a dozen.
To hear that they’re making $1,000 less a week because of Dunkin’ Donuts and Starbucks is sad. I have to admit I like my Starbucks as much as the next person, but I’m making a vow to walk the extra few blocks to Peter Pan’s from now on.
Since I’ll be getting a donut with that coffee now, the extra walking couldn’t hurt.
mm peter pan. i actually just started frequenting uro cafe on driggs (and leonard?) its actually pretty good. beats starbucks burnt crap any day of the week.
it’s a rare day that i buy a donut, but peter pan would be my choice. i went there a couple of months ago (and yeah, that was the last time i got a donut) and they had jelly donut rings, where the jelly was in the ring! that is just awesome.
I’ve lived in the neighborhood for two years and I’ve always been terrified of going in Peter Pan. I can see it becoming a crack-like habit.
But that much lost a week sucks. I’ll venture in and hope for the best. And stop settling for Starbucks every once in a while instead of somewhere else.
