Can you help identify these men? NYPD surveillance photos of the suspected attackers. Via News 12

The NYPD has released surveillance images of two men suspected of carrying out a violent attack against another man on Nassau Aveune between Diamond and Newel Streets on September 15th. According to News 12, two men approached a 36 year-old man from behind, and knocked him to the ground. Once he fell, the assailants continued to punch and kick the victim’s face and body. The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital.

While members of the North Brooklyn Community facebook page have speculated that the attack began with a game of pool at Goldies, the bar’s managers say there was no argument inside the bar. They explain, “the police did inform us to an attack that happened several blocks away, as they stopped by to review the cameras we have that show the sidewalk, I think to see if they could track whoever did the attack as they passed by. There certainly was no attack inside or outside of Goldie’s.”

It remains unclear how the altercation began, but the NYPD is still looking for the suspects, and is asking assistance from the public. From NYPD Patrol Borough Brooklyn North:

Individual 1:male, White, approximately 29-years of age, light complexion, 5’11”, last seen wearing a royal blue shirt, dark colored shorts and black sneakers.

Individual 2:male White, approximately 29-years of age, light complexion, 5’11”, last seen wearing a black shirt, dark colored shorts and black sneakers.

  1. Hmmm. Interesting. Greenpointers is all over this. WHERE WERE YOU WHEN OUR NEIGHBOR WAS MURDERED BY McGOLRICK? Y’all ignored the matter and chose to cover a “peace rally” instead!

    1. We were down a News Editor during that time, unfortunately. Since the fabulous Lucie has joined the team we are able to cover breaking stories in a more timely manner. We’re pretty grassroots, and with our budget sadly we don’t have a full-time staff—but we do our best with the contributors we have who are able to dedicate their valuable time to local happenings.

      1. Thanks for your response. Please keep up the good work and be sure to report on the not so great things in our community, the things which need improvement, the things suffering from neglect.

        1. Also, in case you missed it, once we had the resources to cover the story we did put up four posts related to the murder, and made an effort to let people know about how to support George Carroll’s widow.

          1. Yes, I saw all of those. Please continue to report on quality of life concerns in this neighborhood: crime, public drunkeness, noise, graffiti and impending gentrification/retail vacancy blight are real issues here.

Remember, the perpetrator and his crew were hanging out and menacing locals for quite some time before George Carroll was murdered. Cracking down hard on QOL crime prevents worse crimes from occurring.
