Everyone has been asking – what about the light show this year? Well it’s happening this year, sort of. Instead of a one day spectacle, Nuit Blanche New York (NBNY) will present a month-long series of art installations and performances in a former rope factory at 67 West St in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

“Named after its past incarnation as a speakeasy skate park, The Autumn Bowl series will illuminate a cavernous industrial space and highlight the building’s potential as a hub of creative activity. The series will primarily feature artists working with light, sound, and projection and offer a range of events in conjunction with co-presenting cultural organizations within a 360-degree video projection and sound environment.”

The Autumn Bowl will open with performances by the musicians of OneBeat, a cultural exchange between artists from 21 countries currently touring the US, paired with video environments designed by the New York-based video label, Cartune Xprez. OneBeat at The Autumn Bowl will also feature collaborating artists Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Blitz the Ambassador, Jolie Holland, and Sam Hillmer.

    1. How best to see what’s being done this year beyond the one past event that the tickets were sold for ?
Is the light show ongoing each night thru Oct ?
Any schedule for music performances per night ?
I should just bike on over from Manhattan to 67 West Street, Greenpoint, Brooklyn and C for myself ?
      Thanks

      1. The event info is sparse and seems to be TBD. They recommend to check back as they schedule events. I will do my best to keep you informed!
