The artisan economy is here and chances are you’re part of it. If you put a personal touch to the service you provide or the product you produce, you’re a 21st century artisan. As an artisan, you’ve got a passion for what you do, but can you turn that passion into profit and create long-term success?
Business growth is all about CHANGE and that’s why so many businesses never grow. Owners often stay busy all day, but never make the CHANGE from being a skilled artisan to a savvy entrepreneur. That CHANGE is the key to building a successful business. It arises through gaining CLARITY in your role and in your vision, building a COMMUNITY for support, and creating a COURSE OF ACTION for growth.
Whether you’re just starting out or a few years in, this program will take you through that CHANGE and get you from where you are to where you want to be.
You want to challenge your fear of growth
You’re full of great ideas and need a plan to execute them
You want to compete with big business
You want to stand out in a crowded marketplace
You want to commit to building a business that supports your life and offers you stability
..then this program is for you. I’ve worked with numerous business owners, and a wide variety of businesses, to help them successfully make that CHANGE. I can help you too!
During this program, we’ll create a comprehensive road map for growth, making sure your values and vision are clearly defined and that all of the strategies we build serve your mission. We’ll outline all of the systems you’ll need to put your new plan into practice. And most importantly, we’ll develop your leadership role. Great strategies and a clear road map will get you nowhere if you don’t have the leadership skills to communicate your vision, build committed teams, inspire your customers, and claim your space in the marketplace. You’ll be learning right along side other business owners in your community, so you can build relationships to support your growth long after our class ends.
Growing a business takes courage to put yourself out there, it also takes commitment and dedication to make it work. I know you’ve got what it takes, so let’s get started! This program is offered in both a private or group setting.

We are booked for Sunday, December 8, 2013 for our Annual Greenpointers Holiday Market from 1-7pm at The Greenpoint Loft (67 West St, 5th Fl)
Note:our venue has changed, but it is not far (same building) and it is bigger and better with 360 degree views of Brooklyn and the NYC Skyline and the space itself is flooded with light. Because we had to seek a new venue, the spacerental price has gone up significantly. In turnour table prices have also increased. That being said, we have done our research and our rates are competitive with other markets. As always it will be the BEST local shopping market around town!
Included is a FREE Featured Vendor Post on Greenpointers.com (worth $125) for all vendors who are accepted and submit information about their business in a timely manner.
On a Sunday morning, I met with Sam Jones and Ben Bernstein of Glass Embassy at Cafe Grumpy to talk about going from video production to web design to video games (in the future) and disregarding conventions a little too much.

Ben is the Founder and President of Glass Embassy, and occupies several roles: creative director, producer, composer, and editor. Sam is the Vice President and director and cinematographer for the company. His expertise is chiefly in video and film production.

The first Brooklyn Craft Camp is coming to Greenpoint on March 16th. This one-day event will bring skilled crafters and those seeking to learn a craft together in a playful environment that includes breakfast from Greenpoint’s own Peter Pan donuts, a talk by Jay McCarroll (winner of Project Runway Season 1) + lunch: sourced locally & prepared by a Greenpoint chef and a DJ.
Craft Camp registration includes 4 -90 minute sessions such as knitting, croqueting, terrarium building, nail art and printmaking and caters to all levels of skill. Participants will learn a new craft each session and leave with a treasure of their own making. The day convenes with a cocktail hour and as an added bonus attendees will walk away with a goodie bag stuffed to the gills with craft supplies, magazines and more.
Created by Greenpoint local & lifetime DIY-er Brett Bara, the Craft Camp promises fun and camaraderie for those who tinker and those who just want to learn something new. When asked why Greenpoint, Ms. Bara said in addition to living here, Greenpoint and Williamsburg really capture the creative spirit of Brooklyn. It’s home to many artisans and craft folk and it felt like the perfect place to bring them all together. She was inspired by taking part in other events such as the Alt Summit where crafting was woven into the events themselves. Ms. Bara wants to bring people together people who want to learn a craft with people who are skilled, get them offline and in one room to get creative.
