Much of Greenpoint will be quickly leaving town in a few days to head wherever they celebrate the holidays, or to simply take advantage of the upcoming week off. But many of us, myself included, will be hanging around the neighborhood, enjoying the emptiness, and finally hitting up that restaurant you’ve been wanting to try all year. Since Christmas Eve/Hanukkah is Saturday with Christmas on Sunday, this totally messes up any brunch staycation plans you might’ve had, but more than a few eateries will be open for the Eve and have special menus planned. Here’s the rundown.
Achilles Heel (180 West Street) – Will be open Christmas Eve with a special tamale dinner (options will be wild mushroom, chicken, and blood sausage) from 2 – 10PM. Closed Christmas Day.
Adelina’s (159 Greenpoint Avenue) – Will be open Christmas Eve until 10PM with drink & pizza specials. Closed Christmas Day.
Anella (222 Franklin Street) – Will be open Christmas Eve with the regular menu. Closed Christmas Day.
The Bounty (131 Greenpoint Avenue) –Will be open Christmas Eve with the regular menu. Closed Christmas Day.
Esme (999 Manhattan Avenue) – Will be open Christmas Eve (brunch + dinner) with a special dessert for every table. Closed Christmas Day.
Five Leaves (18 Bedford Avenue) – Will be open Christmas Eve, 8AM to 4PM. Closed Christmas Day.
Glasserie (95 Commercial Street) – Will be open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, brunch + dinner!
Greenpoint Fish & Lobster (114 Nassau Avenue) – Will be open Christmas Eve, fish counter until 7PM, restaurant until 9PM with some Feast of the Seven Fishes-related specials. Closed Christmas Day.

Hail Mary (68 Greenpoint Avenue) – Will be open Christmas Eve with a special Dim Sum dinner! Closed Christmas Day.
Karczma (136 Greenpoint Avenue) – Will be open Christmas Eve, noon to 3PM. Closed Christmas Day.
Le Fond (105 Norman Avenue) – Will be open Christmas Eve with special prix fixe dinners. Closed Christmas Day.
Le Gamin (108 Franklin Street) – Will be open Christmas Eve until 4ish, with a $1.50 Wellfleet oyster special. Closed Christmas Day.
Marlow & Sons (85 Broadway) – Will be open Christmas Eve with an a la carte Indo-Malaysian menu featuring dishes like lamb satay, grilled shrimp sambal, and potato randang.
Naked Dog (47 Java Street) – Will be open Christmas Eve with a Feast of the Seven Fishes dinner. Closed Christmas Day.
Reynard (80 Wythe Street) – Will be open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Christmas dinner will include Christmas Goose, Roast Lamb Carrots, and Figgy Pudding.
Sauvage (905 Lorimer Street) – Will be open Christmas Eve (brunch + dinner). Closed Christmas Day.
