Cut Copy DJs at Good Room

Australian electronic band Cut Copy is DJing in Greenpoint this Thursday night, along with Justin Miller + Curses and Max Pask in the Bad Room. Cut Copy DJ sets are a mix of cutting-edge dance music and classic rock, pop and disco, all expertly mixed together. Anything goes, and it’s sure to be good. This event is part of Good Room’s 2-year anniversary Halloween series this week. The club will be decked out for Halloween weekend and dancers are encouraged to dress up any night and every night.

Suspiria: A Unique Hybrid Screening Event
New events space, Dobbin St., will transform for one night only into an immersive homage to Dario Argento’s 1977 horror film “Suspiria”. Join us for a projected screening of the film within our site-specific installation inspired by Dario Argento’s colorful vision and cinematography. And classical music ensemble The Nouveau Classical Project will perform, taking inspiration from the film’s original score by the Italian band Goblin.

Sleeping Giant Glossolalia Pre-Halloween Party at The Park Church Co-Op
Local experimental record label SGG brings us a Friday night showcase, held inside the historic Park Church Co-Op. Bands include band Insect Ark (delay-drenched lap steel guitar, acoustic and electronic drums, distorted bass & synths to create a sonic mural both uncomfortably intimate and icy cold), multi-generational performance collaborative Blanko & Noiry whose work is based on ritual, Vaudeville, show tunes, the occult, psychodrama, Viennese Actionism and experimental electronic music, unorthodox DJ Jun Mizumachi (an award-winning sound designer from Gnaw, Ike Yard), unsettling avant-doom industrial band Kintaan, and Final Boss.

Zombie Terrarium Making
You know who loves crafts? Zombies! (It’s true!)
