Ladies watch out. Even on our beloved Greenpoint streets bad things can happen, as one unfortunate woman discovered this weekend.

According to police, in the wee hours of Sunday morning a 25 year old women walking home was grabbed from behind on the corner of Morgan Avenue and Driggs. When the suspect threw the woman against the wall and attempted to rape her, she fought back using one the strongest parts of a human body, her teeth. A human bite has the strength of 175 pounds per square inch and when employed it can cause serious damage–as this wannabe rapist quickly found out after the brave woman clamped down on his arm, causing him to flee the scene.

The police say the man caught on video surveillance was last seen wearing a tee shirt, jeans and running sneakers.

If you recognize the man in the photo or know anything that could lead to his arrest, please call 1-800-577-TIPS, or text a tip to 274637 (CRIMES) and type in TIP577, or simply log in online at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com . All tips are anonymous.
