Wren Papers

Maybe it’s because I am bird obsessed but I do love the name Wren Papers, a featured vendor at our Holiday Market that offers unique journals, stationery, prints, and jewelry, often inspired by nature. It’s named after shop proprietor Katie Jones’ mother’s last name and Katie said, “They are strong little birds.” Might I add they have the cutest little bird butts!

At our last market I picked up a tree themed print that I hung over my door and enjoy it everyday.

Katie explained, “I try to make clean-looking images that still have detail.” This gives each piece a modern but still organic look that is perfect for any Brooklyn apartment, plus they are affordable. Each piece is handmade sustainably and printed on recycled paper in small batches in Katie’s Brooklyn studio.

Katie, who is a designer and filmmaker, draws inspiration from the diversity of Brooklyn neighborhoods.

“My boyfriend and I live in Kensington. Most of our friends live in other neighborhoods. This has forced us to explore, walking around the brownstone lined streets of Fort Greene and Park Slope, and then there are the industrial and artistic communities of Gowanus and Bushwick.  It’s interesting to see the unique characteristics of each neighborhood, yet they’re all a part of big, lovely Brooklyn.”

Wren Paper Inspirational Quote Prints

Her hottest item are her inspirational quote prints, which make great gifts.

Katie is looking forward to the Holiday Market because she said, “I participated in the Greenpointers Fall Market in October and it was a blast! I wanted to buy from all the other amazing vendors, and there were delicious empanadas.”
