For many who are apart from family, the holidays can be a drag. Maybe flights home are too expensive, or perhaps you choose to forgo spending time with your crazy family and their questions about what you’re doing with your life. Regardless of how you became a Thanksgiving orphan, you still have things to be thankful for, so come on! Join your neighbors and raise a glass (and some money for charity)! Dirck the Norseman, Greenpoint’s soon-to-be newest neighborhood addition, will open its doors for a sneak preview this November 28 to host a community Thanksgiving potluck dinner, and raise money for Greenpoint Church. “Orphans” should come with a $ donation, and their favorite family Thanksgiving dish to add to the smorgasbord (anything from aunt Kay’s Jell-O Salad to Grandma Bette’s Green Bean Casserole is welcome). Dirck will handle the Turkey. The kitchen will be in full operation so you can warm your dishes up onsite, with Chef Raven at the helm.

  1. Nope! Now Dirk the Norseman, named after Greenpoint’s first Scandinavian settler. Stoked. So many delicious beers to consume – both imports and via their own brewery which is a 5-barrel system. Stoked.
