On November 2nd, the annual Brooklyn Vintage Crawl went into full swing. Emerging and established businesses in Greenpoint, Williamsburg, and Bushwick joined in on the festivities, complete with a banging after party with its own throwback enthusiasms.

With an eye on local spots I hit up these Greenpoint lovelies: Kill Devil Hill, Duke’s Liquor Box, Ana Chronos, Bklyn Curated, and Mahps.

Keeping with the momentum, I also peeked into two slammin’ stores, Lavai Maria and Awoke Vintage in Williamsburg.

The night closed out with Brooklyn Bowl’s show with sets by Deidre & The Dark, Joywave, and Alex Winston. With all this vintage scouring, I was particularly fond of Deidre’s throwback sound to 1960s Ye-Ye and girl groups. Music that perfectly parallels a new vintage cape or shift dress, if you catch my drift.
