Tony Luib got this great shot of the parks department cleaning up the mural in McGolrick/Winthrop Park that was vandalized over the weekend.
About Jen G
After living in NYC my entire life, I found the strongest sense of community in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. My proudest moment as owner and editor of Greenpointers.com is raising over $11,000 for New Yorkers affected by Hurricane Sandy. It shows how neighbors can come together through one small blog and make a big impact.
Great work by the parks department! Thanks for the fabulous photo.
Whoever vandalized this statue is a pathetic little coward who was probably intimidated by the statue’s genitalia. And that statue is hung like a ken doll!
