Little Dokebi To Open At Donia Cafe on Driggs and Monitor

A twitter tipster @noneck shared a photo of this notice at Donia Cafe (Driggs & Monitor) announcing the opening of a restaurant called Little Dokebi. It is not confirmed whether this is an offshoot of Dokebi in Williamsburg but exciting news as more restaurants open near McGolrick Park.

Little Dokebi seems to be registered to the Dokebi address on Grand St. I’m not sure if this means it is the parent company or just a place holder for them to open up another shop…

Regardless, Driggs and Monitor is officially a new hot spot. With Pie Corps, oh lordy, lordy.

oh, so I guess that means Donia is closing? Too bad, a nice place with unusual offerings and a lovely family run affair. I loved how unpretentious it was.

I would hate to see McGolrick turn into McCarren East.
