About Jen G
After living in NYC my entire life, I found the strongest sense of community in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. My proudest moment as owner and editor of Greenpointers.com is raising over $11,000 for New Yorkers affected by Hurricane Sandy. It shows how neighbors can come together through one small blog and make a big impact.
I loved the longer trains!! That’s too bad because I definitely felt it was crowded still but less stifling during my commute. Bummer. Wonder what the tease of longer trains was about anyways?
Affirmative! I suppose the MTA determined long ago that 8 car trains were too difficult to maneuver at the terminal stations. Then again, I didn’t witness any disasters while it was in effect for the week or so. I asked a train operator about it and he just kinda blew me off.
