Jeez, just trying to catch up on all that has happened in the nabe since I been gone is sucking up my first back-to-work day. Not that I’m complaining.

The Brooklyn Paper reported about the G train being officially and permanently extended to Church Avenue as was rumored a couple of months ago. This means the ability to go from Greenpoint to Park Slope just became a one train ride reality. I’m assuming this is not going to actually start until 2010 when they start working on the Culver Viaduct.

But I’m still going to bitch and moan that the G doesn’t go to Forest Hills. It drives me fucking insane.

  1. Hey, I love reading this blog. I live in Chicago now, but I desperately miss New York and I love what has happened to Greenpoint. I lived there for almost 20 years, from 2 years old till I was 22. So I am disappointed to here LA Pizza closed. I’m going to be visiting home next month and was looking forward to a shrimp parmisean (sp) sandwich from LA Pizza. What a bummer.
